ABOUT THE ARTIST
Erika Hanses
Born and raised in Czernowitz, Duchy of Bukovina in Ukaraine.
A doughter of two Holocaust survivors.
Studied In the Academies of Arts in Wischnitz and in St. Petersburg.
After immigrating to Israel, she continued her studies in the Israeli Academy of Arts In Ramat Hasharon.
Prefers to create with Water-Colors, Oil-Colors and Acrylic.
Uses color Techniques inspired by Henri Matisse, Marc Chagall and Francisco Goya.
The magical world of her colorful images came to life by the influence of scenes and folklore of the Karpat mountains countryside and the Eastern-Europian Jewish-Hasidic way of life.
